Second Grade
Week of February 18 - Week of March 10
Students are using the information and research they gathered with their partners/group members to create a Power Point presentation. Students will be learning how to utilize Power Point; adding new slides, background colors, text boxes, image import and formatting, slide transitions and sounds.
Week of February 2
Grade 2 students began a new project celebrating Aftrican American History Month. We first saw a short Brain Pop Jr. video abotu harriet Tubman. We learned about the Underground Railroad and what it was like to be on the journey North. Students then, working with a partner, received a state. using a designated website, the students looked up information about specific UR stops. Using a digital document, students recorded notes about the station.
Week of January 27
Students in Second Grade are working ona multi week project.
Step One: Discover what is a reliable verses unreliable site. DONE!!!
Step Two: Research an animal using the Internet and age appropriate websites. DONE!!
Step Three: Use www.voki.com - to create zoologist avatars describing the animal that was researched. THIS WEEK!
Step Four: Present to your peers.
